A number of audio and visual recordings from the fifth US tour are in circulation amongst collectors. The information below details the most commonly known pieces: Los Angeles Universal Ampitheatre 2 September 1974   The opening show of the West Coast dates which now began to feature new songs recorded during the Sigma Sound sessions.   A review of this show appeared in The Los Angeles Times 4 September 1974.      Los Angeles Universal Ampitheatre 4 September 1974        Los Angeles Universal Ampitheatre 5 September 1974   This was the concert filmed by the BBC for the Cracked Actor documentary. However, the source of this audio recording was not the BBC, as many assumed, but Wally Heider Recording who were contracted by RCA/Mainman. For many years it circulated as a bootleg titled, amongst others, “Strange Fascination” on both vinyl and CD. This recording only used 2 of the original 4 reels which meant that there was a noticeable gap in “All The Young Dudes” (the point at which the reels were swapped over.) In 2016, all 4 original reels were reunited and remixed by Tony Visconti for an official release titled “Cracked Actor.” Unfortunately, the latter has been edited to reduce the length of the introduction and to remove a number of quips by David.   An unofficial album exists from this show - "Strange Fascination" which also exists on CD.      Los Angeles Universal Ampitheater 6 September 1974      San Diego Sports Arena 11 September 1974      Madison Dane County Coliseum 11 October 1974   An audio recording exists of this show which is commonly thought to be from 10 October 1974 at the University of Wisconsin. However, David only played one show in Madison and this did not take place on the University campus. During "Rock'n'Roll With Me" he says "Mm..Mm..Madison. Good evening. It's a pleasure and my privilege to be here. Thank you for having me."   Songs from this show appear on an unofficial album - "Somebody Up There Likes Me.”   The full show appears on an unofficial CD - "1974."      Detroit Michigan Palace 16 October 1974 2 songs from this show appear on an unofficial CD - "Infected With Soul Love."      Detroit Michigan Palace 18 October 1974      Detroit Michigan Palace 19 October 1974   Detroit Michigan Palace 20 October 1974   New York Radio City Music Hall 30 October 1974   An audio recording exists of this show which is commonly thought to be from 28 October 1974. However, David did not play New York on that date and in his book "People Stared At The Make-up On His Face", Per Nilsen suggests that the correct date is 30 October. This is the only one known recording which contains the full set played by the Mike Garson Band prior to David taking the stage. An unofficial CD exists from this show - "Infected With Soul Love." In addition, some songs appear on 2 unofficial singles.   A review of this show appeared in The New York Times 2 November 1974. Video footage - with dubbed audio - from one of the New York shows can be seen here as part of a compilation “Ripped and Rewrapped.” Additional video footage - with dubbed audio - from one of the New York shows can be seen here.    New York ABC TV 2 November 1974   The recording of the Dick Cavett Show. In addition to the songs listed below, David also performed “Can You Hear Me” but this wasn’t used in the final edit. Buffalo Memorial Auditorium 8 November 1974   There is no known audio recording from this show but there is a short piece of video which has been converted from silent 8mm film.   The actual video footage - with dubbed audio - can be seen here as part of a compilation “Ripped and Rewrapped.”     Washington DC Capital Centre 11 November 1974   There is no known audio recording from this show but there is a short piece of video which has been converted from silent 8mm film. The actual video footage - with dubbed audio - can be seen here as part of a compilation “Ripped and Rewrapped.”   A review of this show appeared in The Washington Post 12 November 1974.      Boston Music Hall 14 November 1974   An unofficial CD exists from this show - "Plastic Soul" which is incorrectly dated as being 15 November 1974.   A review of this show appeared in The Boston Globe 15 November 1974.      Boston Music Hall 15 November 1974   Having started "Changes" David decided that he wanted to do a fast one so the band launch into "Panic In Detroit" after which "Changes" is performed in full.        Boston Music Hall 16 November 1974      Philadelphia Spectrum 18 November 1974 A comprehensive insight to this show can be found in the “Soul Love” publication.  Philadelphia Spectrum 25 November 1974    Atlanta The Omni 1 December 1974   This was the final show of the Philly Dogs Tour and the only known recording to include "Win." The full show can be found on the unofficial CD boxset – “Diamond Dogs North American Tour 1974. Bowie 74 Live EP (September 1974) Rumoured to be from one of the Los Angeles Universal Ampitheatre shows in September but definitely from one of the West Coast shows.
